Westgold is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in our Perth CBD office. This full-time role reports directly to the Manager Payroll and plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll services across the business.



About the Role

You’ll be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, compliance with legislation, and providing support to employees and internal teams. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and values-driven organisation.



Key Responsibilities

  • Process fortnightly and monthly payrolls using Workday Payroll
  • Prepare and file Payroll Tax, Child Support, and Superannuation returns
  • Reconcile PAYG, Superannuation, Child Support, and other deductions
  • Maintain payroll databases and employee records
  • Manage payments and reporting including STP, PAYG, PRT, and garnishee orders
  • Provide administrative support and maintain novated lease spreadsheets
  • Assist with share plan reconciliation and maintenance

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payroll legislation and industry awards
  • Significant experience in Australian payroll and payroll tax
  • Previous experience as a Payroll Officer within the mining or resources sector will be highly regarded
